SimOïko
Simulating the life of species on a territory
SimOïko is an advanced ecological dynamics modeling tool that computer-simulates the movements and demographic changes of species within their natural environment. Based on available scientific knowledge about flora and fauna, SimOïko reliably predicts the survival chances of species populations depending on the characteristics of a territory (such as the location of different types of natural habitats and the impacts of human activities). This allows for diagnosing the ecological health of a territory, anticipating the impacts of a project, and designing and evaluating environmental measures.
Ocapi
Identifying species using artificial intelligence
Ocapi is a web-based platform for AI-assisted recognition of animal species in images. It is particularly aimed at users of camera traps, enabling them to annotate their data by combining the speed of automatic identification (using deep learning algorithms) with the security of human validation of results. The use of AI allows for the analysis of large volumes of data, especially to estimate population sizes, understand the characteristics and behaviors of species, and ultimately enhance biodiversity protection measures.
