Since 2014, as a member of the CINOV federation, TerrOïko has participated in the "Infrastructure and Environment" use-case of the national collaborative research project MINnD (Modeling of Interoperable Information for Sustainable Infrastructures).
The project aims to manage the flow and sharing of information, which is essential for the construction sector, currently facing major changes such as project complexity, the development of eco-design, new types of partnerships (PPP, concessions), the need to control risks (anticipation, identification, evaluation, allocation), and the advancement of BIM (Building Information Modeling).
Traditional plans, notes, and files have demonstrated their limitations. Therefore, the objective is to establish a structured and internationally recognized standard for information exchange, along with suitable tools. These tools can be cross-functional, such as digital models, or specific to each profession.
This large-scale project includes a use-case approach to address the various professional needs throughout the infrastructure lifecycle.
In this context, the "Infrastructure and Environment" use-case aims to study the environmental data currently used in the design, construction, and operation of transport infrastructures through concrete case studies (acoustic studies, wildlife crossing design, etc.). In addition to understanding the data, the working group for this use case, composed of researchers (IFSTTAR), managers (VINCI), project assistants (EGIS, SETEC), and consulting firms (CINOV - TerrOïko), has also worked on the professional needs linking environment and infrastructure to determine current data flows.
Finally, the working group has focused on the future of professions related to infrastructure and the environment to anticipate the future data management needs of asset managers.
